Manchester New Hampshire is experiencing rapid development in its downtown vicinity. It has been a long time coming. The town is banking on the new Verizon Wireless Arena to bring more businesses into the downtown area. As is the case in many growing communities, the small mom and pop businesses are quickly being replaced by corporations and franchises that can afford the increasing property values and rents now dominating the city. This photo shows the scale of the development occurring in downtown Manchester. Old City Hall is dwarfed by a high-rise building sitting right next door.
