During the past week the cold temperatures have become very noticeable to me. Maybe because we haven't had a break from it in a while. Normally I don't complain either but when I have to warm up my vehicle for 10 minutes before I can get in and drive, and wear thermal clothing every day, it can be a bit much. So I have to remind myself what the alternative could be, and that is heat, humidity, and insects, the biting or stinging kind! Here in New Hampshire the summers can be very uncomfortable with sweltering days combined with swarming insects. So when we have a cold snap like the one we're in, I just think about how nice it is not to have to swat the bugs away or sweat without even moving a muscle.

This picture was taken at my previous residents. Chive grew abundantly and the flowers made for a great subject to photograph.
