Downtown Portsmouth New Hampshire has kept a few of its trees that have been around longer than many of the buildings surrounding them and residents of that town. This tree is located on Market Street, heading towards downtown, approaching the intersection of Hanover and Bow streets. It has to be over a century old, possibly a couple hundred years.

At some point I would like to investigate the entire town of Portsmouth and photograph some of it's elder tree population. Stay tuned.
