Earlier, I posted a nice photograph of tonight's sunset. As beautiful as it is, there is something much more important, yet fleeting in my life, and that is my cat, Herschal. He's pictured here. Herschal has been undergoing insulin shots for almost a year now after being diagnosed with feline diabetes. Since then, he's developed another condition that is preventing the insulin from working as it should. And because of this, he probably won't be on this earth much longer.

Herschal is my favorite pet, EVER. He's 12 years old. He has a sister named Allie who is still very healthy.

It's hard for me to face up to the reality of this situation. We've developed a bond that will never be broken, even in death. I am sad today. Though, after you leave this earth Herschal, in time, the despair will diminish. But I will never forget you. You are loved very much.
